Empire Ants

I made these for Anya to use on Glowfic, so there's also a zip available containing larger versions of these icons, ranging all the way up to 400x400, in both raw and sharpened varieties. If you download the zip, you do not need to also download the IJ sized icons because they're contained within it.

Sungjae ranges in age from 17 (age at debut) to 27 (current age) in these, but they're extremely far from being in chronological order because I don't have the spoons to take on a task like that.

I rushed through these while unable to sleep. Honestly can't tell if I got the colours and sharpness off in some, or my eyes are just hella tired.

Also, not sure why I picked the two eps I did, but apparently the Debs icons also used them so I guess those were the albums I visited back in the day. The world may never know... or care.

I had a rough time trying to make these look right and I'm kind of in a quitting mood lately so I settled on close enough for most of them. Hopefully I still managed to land somewhere in the ballpark of "actually worth using."

I hate working with Riverdale's lighting and colour grading so fucking much, I legit put this set on hold for nearly two years to avoid having to edit the images. Then I made myself finally tackle the project today... and it essentially took over my entire day and destroyed everything I actually planned to do. But at least I'm done with it, ugh!

The end of this one is going to be really confusing for people who haven't seen the show, and that amuses me more than it should. Also, the lighting is terrible but I gave up giving a shit after fighting it for a day and a half. Don't blame me, blame the show's lighting department... okay, and my intense need to counteract yellow or overly warm lighting everywhere I see it.

I'm lowkey burnt out on making icons, but it's something to do with my hands while I'm binge watching and this post marks having one icon set per day for an entire week. Questionable accomplishment is questionable, but I'll take it.

What even is the lighting on this and every other Freeform or CW show? Someone get these folks a few light bulbs, please! And maybe take away their colour filters, while you're at it. I spend far more time making presentable icons than I do cropping hundreds of screencaps, at this point.

Yesterday, I hadn't seen a single episode of The Fosters. Today, I decided to put it on in the background while iconning... and now I'm halfway through the first season and hooked. Sorry, not sorry.
