Empire Ants

I hate working with Riverdale's lighting and colour grading so fucking much, I legit put this set on hold for nearly two years to avoid having to edit the images. Then I made myself finally tackle the project today... and it essentially took over my entire day and destroyed everything I actually planned to do. But at least I'm done with it, ugh!


( People have already seen what's underneath, and it's terrifying. )

I do not recommend trying to icon Riverdale if you enjoy being a sane human. What were they thinking when lighting and colour-grading this show?!

Sorry if any of these are grainy or overly brightened. I run my laptop on lowest brightness and tried to turn it up a few times to check these icons but it just made my eyes hurt.

It's finally finished! Infinite thanks and appreciation to truebornstark for being so patient while I worked on these. ♥ This marks the final set from Riverdale 3.04: The Midnight Club, and thus the third large iconning project I've finished. It features Camila Mendes as Hermione Gomez (young Hermione Lodge) and includes the LARP costume she wore during the episode.

Created upon request/suggestion for truebornstark, these icons feature Lili Reinhart in Riverdale 3.04: The Midnight Club. Colouring and lighting vary quite a bit from scene to scene, but I tried to find a balance between 'probably a vampire' and 'spent too long in the sun.'

Though it's difficult to tell when they're laid out like this, the first five icons are slightly brighter and less pink variations of the five which follow.

This here's the second and final part of Cole Sprouse as FP Jones II FP Jones Jr. in Riverdale 3.04: The Midnight Club. These didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, thanks in large part to the horrible colouring and shadows in most of these scenes, but I think I'm happy with the outcome overall.

Here's part one of two featuring Cole Sprouse in Riverdale 3.04: The Midnight Club as FP Jones Jr. (That's canon now, apparently, but I'm stubborn and stuck in my ways so I'm keeping the character tag as FP Jones II. You guys know who it means.) Epic kudos to the costume department for a very convincing transformation into bb Skeet Ulrich.

Made upon request/suggestion for truebornstark, but of course free for anyone to use. These took absolutely forever to get right, especially since I've been sick af lately, but I think overall I'm happy with how these turned out. I especially love this half of the set, which didn't give me anywhere near the amount of trouble as the atrocious lighting and colouring in the second half.

Part two of Madelaine Petsch as Penelope Blossom in Riverdale 3.04: The Midnight Club, made for truebornstark's request. Please pardon the graininess in some of these; I'm still trying to find a balance between brightening and combating the fuzziness on the show with nary a lightbulb to be found.

While Casey was the least featured in the flashbacks, Madelaine was the most. Add that to my inability to settle on a cropping style and, well... four days of work later, I have made 486 icons. Sorry, not sorry.

This set is primarily Cole as Jughead Jones from Riverdale in random stillframes and behind-the-scenes antics. Anything here that isn't specifically in costume as Jughead still reasonably passes as him. You'll also find a few icons of the original Serpents tattoo and the back of his Serpents jacket here because why not.
